Constructed on a very tight site boundary to boundary, the house has a fully automated C-Bus system controlling all electrical items throughout. The house has a striking modern design complimented with an exceptional level of finishes throughout the interior.

This project comprised of a major renovation to an existing Woolworths Supermarket at Loxton. It included a 1500 square metres extension to the front, and a further complete renovation of the existing 2500 square metres supermarket. We also undertook extensive site works which included the construction of 2 new car parks. All work was undertaken whilst the supermarket was fully operational.

This project involved the demolition of an existing administration office and a complete refurbishment. The existing straw ceiling was to remain for its thermal properties and a new wet fire system was installed with new stepped ceilings below this. This building is steel framed, with a metal clad structure.

This multi-million dollar development took place in 2019 and defines the art of luxury aged care living, whilst offering effective measures of safety and security for the residents and workers, without the sacrifice of comfort and elegance. This two-storey facility boasts a large under croft carpark, seemingly endless amount of single rooms, all equipped with graceful ensuites, numerous functional dining rooms, comfortable shared living spaces, state of the art movie theatre, spacious courtyards, bbq areas, and a private function room to promote socialising and engagement between the residents.
Life Care Aldinga Beach Redevelopment

This project incorporated the construction of 3 new extensions to an existing aged care centre, adding an additional 35 beds to the complex. The project also included major upgrades throughout the existing facility, plus 2 new carparks and an entrance statement with extensive landscaping.

This 80 bed aged care facility at Nuriootpa included a central service core with 8 wings of living units coming off it, with 10 beds in each unit. The project also included considerable services, major site works and landscaping.
Peninsula Aged Care Kadina

These works which were completed in 4 stages included the new addition of 25 rooms, a dining area, 3 lounge areas, a court yard and a major addition to the existing building which included another 20 rooms. Landscaping and extensive car parking to the grounds was also part of the scope of works. GC&J Constructions worked closed with the client ESTIA Health to ensure a smooth transition for the residents.
Tanunda Lutheran Homes 14 Independent Living Units

Situated in the beautiful Barossa Valley township of Tanunda, this recent new development involved the construction of a combination of duplex and non-duplex 2-bedroom apartments, both single and double-storey, totalling 15 units. All independent living units are situated on the main Tanunda Lutheran Home site. Extensive collaboration with the Tanunda Lutheran Homes was utilised to deliver not only an aesthetic and high-quality package, but one suitable to both the sloped site where the units are situated and fit for purpose for an ‘Independent Living Facility’ regarding both amenities and access.

This Design & Construct BER project included the construction of a new classroom block which consisted of 5 new classrooms and a common corridor area. This building is situated on a sloping site and therefore has a large underfloor storage area, plus large balconies surrounding the 3 sides of the building.

Port Augusta Special School Relocation

This project involved the construction of a new school on an existing primary school site. The new buildings are in the form of solid construction, and a transportable building. The new school facilities include GLA’s, activity, administration, plant and other associated areas. Also included was the installation of external play facilities and playing field alterations, on-site car parking with associated site & demolition works, landscaping and fencing, relocation of the shelter shed, shade structure and play equipment from the existing site.
Nuriootpa Primary School Early Works Roof Replacement

An interesting structure, the Nuriootpa Primary School main building is approximately round with a mix of 20 even and un-even edges. This means that all the individual roof sheets taper out from the centre of the building to form a wedge. To complete this project, special machinery was bought in to form the tapered roof sheets on-site up to 14m long, utilizing a seamless interlocking sheet system to achieve a high-quality finish result.

Nuriootpa Primary School Redevelopment

A logical challenge, the Nuriootpa Primary School Redevelopment remained an operational site all the way through the project. This was achieved by breaking the works down into multiple stages whilst maintaining close collaboration and communication with the School Administration. Importantly, this allowed for large-scale construction to take place over a sizeable duration while minimising the impact of construction on the learning facility. Involved in this project was the construction of 3 new COLA’s (Covered Outdoor Learning Area), along with a refurbishment of the entire main building including a refurbishment of all General Learning Areas’, classrooms, existing library, music room and common areas, along with the construction of a new Administration Building incorporated into the original main structure.
Immanuel Lutheran School Gawler – Classroom Renovations

This project for Immanuel Gawler involved an extensive refurbishment and alteration of the existing stone and double brick building which incorporated a gymnasium and multiple classrooms. Many of the internal double brick walls used for partitioning classrooms from the gymnasium area were deleted, as such extensive propping during demolition was utilised before installing a substantial structural steel package to provide support across the deleted sections of structural walling. Once structurally supported, these new openings saw the fitting of substantial glass partitioning with incorporated large glass sliding doors, along with double glazing to exterior windows achieving the feel of a large open atrium area, whilst still providing effective natural lighting and acoustic properties to classroom.

This project’s aim when producing the restaurant space was to highlight the true asset of the property, which is the 180 degree view of the world famous Barossa Valley that the “saw tooth” designer windows frame perfectly. The arched ceiling offers a soft transition between wall and roof to assist in allowing the feeling of sharing a meal in the vines themselves whilst still offering the protection an indoor eating experience gives.
